ARSUZ COMMUNITY CENTER
Arsuz Community Center, which we established in Arsuz to support children, youth, women and disadvantaged members of society to have a good time, has been opened. Since İskender Sayek Culture House was severely damaged in the earthquake, we will be holding our events at Arsuz Community Center in the coming period.
Arsuz Community Center was established with the support of Turkish Philanthropy Funds (TPF).
ARSUZ URBAN WORKSHOP: RESILIENT AND LIVABLE ARSUZ
📍"Resilient and Livable Arsuz" Arsuz Urban Workshop was organized by the Arsuz City Council, on July 7-8 2023, in cooperation with Arsuz District Governorship and Arsuz Municipality.
📍 21 participants, who came together for the rehabilitation and "resilient city" planning of Arsuz after the earthquakes of 6 and 20 February, made 20 presentations within the framework of opening speeches and 6 sessions.
📍 In the workshop, the main problems and solution proposals identified after the earthquake were discussed in detail.

FÜSUN SAYEK HEALTH AND CULTURE EVENTS
The events series began as a memorial event for Füsun Sayek, a Turkish female doctor and the former president of the Turkish Medical Association.
Sayek’s family organized a week long event to commemorate her on 2007 and became the region’s first and foremost social event in time. The first two years, the association provided free mammography breast screenings to 2000 women around the villages of Arsuz in cooperation with Avon.
Füsun Sayek Health and Culture Events, an event series that has grown into a month-long festival, has been held every year since 2007, with a busy schedule of concerts, exhibitions, workshops, seminars, free health screenings, and sports activities; all free to public.
