OUR STORY
Füsun Sayek Association for the Development of Health and Education’s story began as a memorial event for Füsun Sayek, a Turkish female doctor and the former president of the Turkish Medical Association.
Sayek’s family organized a week long event to commemorate her on 2007 and became the region’s first and foremost social event in time. The first two years, the association provided free mammography breast screenings to 2000 women around the villages of Arsuz in cooperation with Avon.
In 2013 the association was institutionalized, quickly evolved into a socially accepted civic body in the region, being the only example of it’s kind.
Now in it’s 16th year, Füsun Sayek Association for the Development of Health and Education organizes numerous free events and programs focused on public health, children’s education and community engagement.
