Füsun Sayek Health & Culture Events
20 Years of Health, Culture and Community
First organized in 2007 in memory of Dr. Füsun Sayek, the Füsun Sayek Health & Culture Events have grown into an annual celebration of health, culture, creativity and community life in Arsuz, Hatay.
What began as a series of commemorative events organized by her family has become a long-standing tradition, bringing together people of different ages and backgrounds through a diverse program of free activities.
From Jazz at Sunset to Opera Under the Stars
Over the years, our program has brought unforgettable experiences to Arsuz: jazz concerts at sunset by the sea, opera performances under the stars among lemon groves, performances by distinguished musicians and artists such as Ahmet Kanneci, Görkem Ezgi Yıldırım and Arda Aktar.
We have also hosted inspiring conversations with prominent intellectuals, including İlber Ortaylı and Emre Kongar.
From children's choir to canoe races on the Arsuz River; tennis tournaments to countless children's workshops, literary talks, science workshops, exhibitions and public health programs, Füsun Sayek Health and Culture Events have embraced many different forms of learning, discovery and creativity.
Rooted in the belief that health and culture should be accessible to everyone, our events are free and open to the public.

20 Years Together
In 2026, we celebrated the 20th edition of the Füsun Sayek Health & Culture Events, marking our fourth annual program since the February 2023 earthquakes.
Following the severe damage to the historic İskender Sayek Culture House, which had hosted many of our activities, we established the Arsuz Community Center in 2023.
The Center became a new home for our programs, allowing us to continue bringing people together through health, culture, and the arts.
Throughout these changes, the events have remained an important part of Arsuz's cultural and social life, bringing new generations together while preserving the spirit of solidarity that inspired their beginnings.
